He was predeceased by: his mother Freda Newbury; his stepfather Andrew Newbury; his brother Bill MacMillan; and his stepdaughter Evelyn Penney. He is survived by: his wife Gwelda MacMillan; his stepchildren, Janet Curry (Joe), Edward Purdy (Pam) and Leah Purdy (John); his daughter Kelly MacMillan (Joe); his grandchildren, Hayden, Nolan, Seth, Jenny, Cody and Natalie; and his siblings, Norma Corbett and Don MacMillan (Brenda).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Society or the Heart and Lung Wellness Centre, Sydney, NS.
