She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Howie and Florence Howie (Young); her husband Murray; and her siblings, Joan MacLeod and John Howie.

She is survived by: her children, Joan Rankin (Donnie) of Windsor, ON and Leonard; her grandchildren, Scott Nemeth and Florie Gillis; and her great grandchild Emma Gillis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
