He was predeceased by: his parents, George Maroun and Mary Maroun (Frampton). He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Cathy" (MacMullin); his children, Cheryl Mercer (Andrew) and Shaun; his granddaughters, Lila and Paige Mercer; his brothers, Lou (Kathryn), Bermuda, Gary (Beverly) and Sydney; his nephews, Derek, Kyle and Steven; and his niece Amber. He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.
Since pandemic travel restrictions hit, the highlight of his day was having virtual breakfast chats with his little girls, and virtual visits in the "jamma closet" as they got ready to start their days.
