She is survived by: her significant other Howard Anthony; her children, Karen and Mark Anthony (Sharon); her sister Karen Higgins (Medhurst); her grandchildren, Martin Gillis (Brittany), Emily Anthony, James Anthony, Dane Badcock and Reid Badcock; and her great grandchild Abigail Gillis.
Donations in her memory may be made to Autism Nova Scotia, Cape Breton region chapter. Maureen volunteered hours with this charity in support of children like her grandsons Dane and Reid who are.
