It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Matilda Leblanc of Sydney, Nova Scotia, born in Margaree, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 1, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Charlie and Mathilda LeBlanc (Chaisson); her son Michael Charles; her son-in-law Lauchie Almon; her granddaughter Paula Almon; her brothers, John Joseph, Charlie, Jimmy and Gabriel; and also John Joseph.

She is survived by: her son George (Mary Beth); her former husband John Joseph; her husband Pierre; her daughter Patricia "Pat" Almon; and her grandchildren, Heather, Jennifer (Ryan), Geoffrey, Douglas (Miah) and Robert (Evie). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
