It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Mae Murphy of Sydney, Nova Scotia, born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie LeLievre and Angeline LeLievre; her siblings, Dina (Paul MacInnis) of Louisdale, NS, Johnnie Boy of Inverness, NS and Joe LeLievre (Denise) of Kitchener, ON; and her sister-in-law Lyndsey Jennings (Janet Murphy).
She is survived by: her husband Cliff Murphy; her children, Michelle Murphy (Sydney), Timothy Murphy (Verna) of Fort McMurray, AB and Craig Murphy (Nancy) of Fort McMurray, AB; her grandchildren, Shayleen of Fort McMurray, AB, Alyssa of Sydney, NS, Mitchell of Cold Lake, AB, Nathanial Fort McMurray (Kayley) and Ethan of Sydney, NS; her siblings, Beatrice (Leonel Cormier), Annette (Francis MacLellan), Angie LeLievre of Inverness, NS, Paul LeLievre (Marie) of Inverness, NS and Clifford (Debbie); and her siblings-in-law, Ellen MacIsaac of Dartmouth, NS, Janet Murphy, Floyd Murphy (Gloria) of Richmond, BC and Danford Murphy (Debbie) of Mabou, NS. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County or a charity of choice.
