She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Greer and Frances Greer (Foote); her husband James Frederick Steele; her son James William Steele; and her siblings, Rufus Greer (Elizabeth), William Greer (Evelyn), Roy Greer (Audrey), Reta Phillips (Henry), Mildred Parsons (Henry) and Robert Greer (Jessica).

She is survived by: her children, Marna, Thomas Steele (Patricia), Frederick Steele (Joyce) and Frances Knickle (Andrew); and her grandchildren, Kristin Mike (Nathan), Jessica Kalendra (Mark), Amanda Edwards (Scott), Erin Knickle, Kathleen Steele and Emily Steele. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
