She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Clarke and Mary Clarke (Slade); and her siblings, Minnie, Mary, Jessie, Lila, Jack, George, Bob, Charlie, Jimmy and Ray.
She is survived by: her husband Obed Rice; her children, Carol Rice (Sydney), Rob (Patty), Sydney, Brian (Myrna) and Lindsay (Susan); her grandchildren, Aaron, Ashley, Julie, Liam and Graham; and her great grandchildren, Jaden, Ryan, Sam, Andi, Grace, Claire and Cole. She is also survived by her sisters.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3).
Memorials may be made to the An Cala Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
