It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Ann (MacDonald) MacNeil (Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Gillis Point, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 15, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary MacDonald (Dickson) and Hector MacDonald; her husband Murdock "Buddy" MacNeil; her siblings, Ronald, Adam, Danny, Joe, Hector, Betty, Mary and Faye; and her granddaughter Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Jones (Gary), Westmount, Theresa Campbell (Kevin), Kevin (Darleen), Colleen Corbett (Pete), Barbara (Keith Ogilvie) and Airdrie; her great grandchildren, Gideon, Benaiah, Jacob, Wyatt, Riley, Rose and Ivy; her siblings, Agnes MacNeil, Jean MacNeil and John MacDonald (Marie); and her sisters-in-law, Minerva, Rose, Kay, Catherine, Theresa, Mary and Marguerite. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; first cousins in Scotland; and many good friends.
Donations may be made to the An Cala Palliative Care Unit at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, the cemetery fund for Holy Rosary Parish, Westmount, or a charity of your choice.
