She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard MacIsaac and Ella Mae 'Stella MacIsaac; her husband Alvin 'Eddie MacDonald; her daughter Stella; and her significant other Donald "Goose" Walker.

She is survived by: her children, Ann MacDonald (Manning), Eddie (Heather), Hilda (Jonathan Verbuyst), Shaun (Helen), Donald, Almon (Deborah), Marcella Ferro (John) and Robert (Cynthia Keeler); her grandchildren, Robbie (Krystal), Jeff (Christine), Charlie (Ayum), Jaclyn, Leah (Andrew), Sean (Shannon), Matthew, Aaron (Gaby), Joshua and Nina; her great grandchildren, Jade, Wyatt, Everett, Stella, Noa, Hiro, Ada, Isla Marcella, Lennon and Malcolm; her sister-in-law Kay Hunter; her friend Frankie Walker; and also, Sherry and Chloe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County or the Canadian Cancer Society.
