She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Power and Catherine Power (Savage); her husband William Joseph Powers; her daughter Cathy-Anne Powers (Wanda Tighe); and her siblings, Perpetua Myers, Isabel Miller, Kevin Power, Stephen Power, Gus Power and John Power.

She is survived by: her daughter Charlene Powers Sydney (Robert Head); her brother Charlie Power (Mena); her son-in-law Gerald Tighe South Bar (Shelly Quinn); her grandchildren, Brandy Tighe Whitney Pier (Kenny Magliaro) of Sydney, Jeremy Tighe Dartmouth (Colin Brow) of Sydney, Dawson Head of Sydney, Jeric Head of Sydney and Jaiden Head of Sydney; and her great grandchild Hadley Magliaro.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
