She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bentley and Hazel Bentley (Morrison); her former husband Donald Allistair MacDonald; and her siblings, Peter and Audrey.

She is survived by: her husband John MacKinnon; her son Derek (Marion Bridge); her stepdaughters, Melinda MacDonald-Trask (David) of Mineville, NS. and Sandra MacDonald (Jason) of Mineville, NS.; and her grandchildren, Rianna, Jackson, Gabriella, Finn and Myra.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
