It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Edwin Caines (Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chesley Caines and Phyllis Caines (McRae); and his brother Cecil. He is survived by: his daughter Phyllis Samson; his grandsons, Bryson and Marshall; his great grandchild Tommy Michael; his grandchild Tanys; his son Donald "Donnie"; his grandchildren, Leora and Courtney; his siblings, Linda Head and Raymond (Teresa); his stepmother Elaine Caines; his stepbrothers, David (Alice) of Glace Bay, Donnie of Glace Bay and Wayne (Juliette) of Glace Bay; and his aunt Carol.
