He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael W. Kennedy and Jane Kennedy (Burke); and his siblings, Vincent, Fraser, Jim, Charlie, Catherine, Mary, Helen, Bridget, Susan and Cleo.

He is survived by: his children, Rick (Nancy), Josephine (Fort McMurray), William (Sackville), Sally (Edmonton), Darren (Glenn) and Sydney; his grandchildren, Terri, Kyla, Jordan, Kristen, Brianna, Ryan, Tyler, Mark, Cynthia, Bailee, Kolton, Cole and Kailey; his great grandchildren, Sophia, Seth, Parker, William, Kolby, Rory, Riley, Maria, Annabelle, Breagh, Leah and Joe; his friend Hughie Kaiser; and also Lisa Pellerin. He is also survived by his sister.
