He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Garnier and Phyllis Garnier (Marman); and his friend Paula Kennedy. He is survived by: his brother Donnie (Nancy); his nieces, Jennifer (Clyde Hartling), Kimberley (Brad Fraser) and Shannon (Jason Lahey); his great-nephews, Harrison, Lachlan Fraser and Boden Lahey; his aunt Mary Marman; his uncles, Ronald (Rita), Marman and Clyde Garnier (Evelyn) of Ottawa, ON; his stepchildren, Micheal Godbout (Anne Coursol), Jessica Godbout (Shawn Miron) and Jennifer (Harry Sapuridis); his stepgrandchildren, Giselle, Gabrielle Godbout, Kathleen, Shirley-Ann Miron, Hayley and James Sapuridis; and his sons, Keith, Cory and Sean Whalen.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Pier Community Funeral Home (1092 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N1L1).
