Jon Melvin Yipp Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Melvin Yipp of Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Yipp; his parents, George Yipp and Ida Yipp; his brothers, Roy and Lance Yipp; and his son Lance Yipp.

He is survived by: the mother of his children Patricia Gillis; his stepson Booker Wall; his children, Pam Hartford (John Hartford), George Yipp, Warren Yipp and Jon Yipp; his stepson Michael Wall; his daughter-in-law Ann Yipp; his grandchildren, Colyn, Nya, Hailey, Coady, Accacia, Leelyn, Mitchell, Wendel, John and Taryn; his great grandchildren, Vada, Reid, Carter, Freddie, Lennox, Scarlett, Will, Mac, Callum, Ryland, Penny, Summer, Levi, Maverick, Isaac and Alex; and his sister Dolores O'Connor (Dollie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or the Oceanview Villa at the Inverary Manor, Inverness.
