John Walker Obituary
We bid farewell to John Walker (Sydney, Nova Scotia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 21, 2025 at the age of 80. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Walker and Christine Walker (Johnston); and his brothers-in-law, Neil Urquhart and Jim Crane. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Walker (Urquhart); his children, Amber Gareau (Pierre) and Donald John Walker (Allison); his siblings, Evelyn Crane (Jim), Joyce Doll, Donalda Robertson (David), Harvey Walker and Shirley Walker; his brothers-in-law, David Urquhart (Cathy) and Glen Urquhart (Anna); and his grandchildren, Cameron, Alyssa Walker, Madeleine and Malcom Gareau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel United Church (2590 Hillside Rd, Marion Bridge, NS B1K1C6).
