It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Roderick MacKenzie (Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Christmas Island, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 29, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil MacKenzie and Sarah Catherine MacKenzie (MacNeil); and his brother-in-law James Andre MacKinnon. He is survived by: his siblings, Neil (Diane), Sydney, Theresa MacKinnon, Anne McCormick (Kevin), Sandra DePompa (Tony), Scarborough, Sharon Wansbrough (Doug), Belwood, Andrea, Etobicoke, Keith (Marie), Westmount, Kevin (Anne), Big Beach and David (Terry); and his friend Myrna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Memorial donations in memory of John can be made to the St. Barra Cemetery Fund, Mass for Shut-Ins or Local Food Bank.
