She was predeceased by: her father James Rae "Buddy" Wallace. She is survived by: her mother Carole Wallace (John Lovell); her daughters, Christine Devoe and Angela Devoe; her granddaughter Mia Harvie; her husband John Hutchison; her stepchildren, Krista Hutchison (Noah), Jordan (Amy) and Tracy MacLean (Molly); her siblings, David Wallace (Sam), Tom Wallace (Amy), Nancy Pilote (Fred), Sandra Brennick (Michael) and Cordelia MacLeod (Hayes); her siblings-in-law, Judy Mahoney (Michael), Sandra Hutchison and Brian Hutchison (Karen); and her close friends, Isabel and Linda. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre.
