She was predeceased by: her parents-in-law, Robert and Susan Dupe (Parsons); her in-laws, Bobby Dupe (Edna), Gerald Dupe (Sheila), Douglas Dupe (Marie), Gordon Dupe, Carmella Pierre (Harry), Beatrice Barkhouse and Peter MacNeil; and her daughter-in-law Trish Powell.
She is survived by: her husband Harvey Dupe; her children, Michael Dupe and Elaine Dupe (John MacKinnon); her grandchildren, Alyssa Timmons, Michael Dupe, Cassidy Riley and Carson Riley; her stepgrandchildren, Liam and Macy MacKinnon; her siblings-in-law, Frances MacNeil, Douglas "Bud" Dufour and Eric Barkhouse; and her niece Carol Dufour. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Patient Care Fund at The Cove Guest Home or the Parkinson's Society of Nova Scotia, or simply do a good deed and think of Joan - she would love that.
