She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank "Ziggy" Oursin and Louise Oursin (Edwards); and her siblings, Anna Cameron, Roy and Ernie Oursin.
She is survived by: her close friend Louise; her children, Lori Briand, Kevin, Kenny Briand and Sydney; her grandchildren, Lauryn, Kristen and Dylan Briand; her great grandchild Ellie Axworthy; her siblings, Theresa Tubrett (Sydney), David, Frank "Bucky" Oursin and Sydney; and the father of her children Louis Briand.
Memorials may be made to the SPCA Cape Breton.
