He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Griffiths and Lillian Griffiths (Spurvey); and his siblings, Harold, Michael, David, Joseph, Theresa and Lillian.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Katherine), Amy (Ryan) of Sydney and Kayla (Mark) of Sydney; his grandsons, Jonathan and Carson; his brother Patrick; his friend John MacNeil; and his goddaughters, Wendy Griffiths and Christa Lee Pyke. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim may be made to Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County.
