Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint James Douglas leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewan Reid and Hattie Reid (Baylis); his wife Mary (MacGillivray); and his siblings, Doris, Joyce, Earl and Murray.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Reid and Stephen Reid (Sydney); his granddaughter Nicole; his great grandchild Oliver; his sister Shirley (Sydney); and his friend Florence Harriet.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3).
