She was predeceased by: her parents, George Slade and Dina Slade (Forsey); and her siblings, Alice Courage, Jessie Snow, Ruth Forshaw, Jim and George Slade.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn (Nola), Kitimat, Ruth (Terry), Pam (Don) and Sydney; her granddaughter Willow (William); and her niece Cathy Courage (Sydney). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MacGillivray Guest Home or the Cape Breton SPCA.
