He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wambolt and Mae Wambolt (Beech); his wife Monica (MacPhee); and his siblings, Powley'Chick', Grace, Janet, Velzora'Tiny', Marilyn'Buck', Thelma, Melvin, Ace, Frank'Dutch', Ernie, Earl, Ada and Erna.
He is survived by: his children, David Wambolt of Mull River, Sherry Fogarty (Danny) of Sydney, Todd Wambolt (Brenda) of Prince George, BC, Lisa Wambolt (Benny) of Sydney and Grampie'; his grandchildren, Lyndsay, Megan, Jessica, Rebecca, Gordon, Heidi, Geoffrey, Hollis and David; and his great grandchildren, Taylor, Brynn, Eli, Willa, Kenna, Rowan, Colton, Sonny and Piper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the All Faith Chapel (1092 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N1L1). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Sydney Curling Club (619 George St, Sydney, NS B1P1L1).
Donations in memory of Gordie may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of NS.
