She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Quinton and Nellie Quinton (Luther); and her siblings, Robert and Linda MacKeigan. She is survived by: her husband Joe Burke; her children, Dwight (Elizabeth) and Judy Calder (Peter); her grandchildren, Amanda-Leigh and John A. Macleod (Tara); her great grandchildren, Lachlan and Enna; and her stepchildren, Anna, Pat, David, Kathleen, Joe and Ian. She is also survived by great-grand-children; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gladys' name to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or to a charity of your choice.
