It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Sidney Grant (Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stan Grant and Emma Grant (Gouthro); his grandson Tyler; and his siblings, Lorne and Mary K.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Stanley; his children, Valerie Planetta (Karol) of Westmount, Charles of Point Edward, Sam (Nancy) of BC/Little River, C. B. and Heather of Point Edward; his grandchildren, Amanda Planetta (Raymond), Lori (Bill MacIntyre), Sam Jr. (Tara), Courteney (Ed), Jesse, Brandon, Michael and Nadine LeBlanc (Darren); his great grandchildren, Olivia, Autumn, Evangeline, Savannah, Lincoln, Griffin, Karter, Keenan, Hannah and Dax; his pet Prince North; his siblings, Patsy (Lawrence), Germaine (David) and Darryl (Laura); and his daughter AnnMarie Gibbons (Diane Burns).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the An Cala, Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
