She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ikie Allen and Rose Allen (Epstein); her children, Laurel and Phil; her many Allen; her nieces and nephews, Shayna (Allen) and Darren Strong of New Waterford; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethan and Manny; her husband Ike; and her siblings, Nettie Simon (Nate) of Glace Bay and Louie (Sylvia) of New Waterford.
A funeral service was held on Friday, July 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3). A shiva was held on Sunday, July 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 649 Acadia St, New Waterford, NS B1H4K9.
