He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Rolls and Pearl Rolls (Burke); his daughter Tracey; and his brother Wes. He is survived by: his wife Carmella Rolls (Pettipas); his children, Jason, Tanya Poirier (Colin) and Jordan (Christina); his grandchildren, Kaylee, Hannah Rolls and Jaydan Poirier; his siblings, Nelson (Rose) and Sharon; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Rolls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, or charity of one's choice.
