He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Hawco (Weatherbee) and Elmo Hawco of Sydney; and his siblings, Rose, Arlene, Gloria, Elmo and Roger.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Yates; his children, Melanie of Ontario, Michael of Ontario and Dr. Colin Hawco of Ontario; his grandchildren, Lili, Leo, Reya and Zereck; and his sisters, Sandra Wainwright of Sydney and Inez Hawco of Sydney.
