He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ranni and Mary Ranni (MacDonald); and his siblings, Aggie, Minnow, Mary, Richard and Victor.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bridget Ranni (Hawco); his children, Susan Christie (Glenn), Kim Kendall (Curtis), Sandra Ranni (Steve) and Kelly Ranni (Susan); his grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon), Crystal (Colin), Maryam (Curtis), Tammy, Ashley, Sara (Patrick), Eddie (Danielle), Tyler (Pearl), Dan (Tian), Cole and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Brooke, Brady, Becka, Noah, Liam, Hannah, Crewe, Tatum, Peyton, Skye, Ella, Layla, Lily, Amelia and Soraya; and his siblings, Dolly (Howie), Pat (Don), Kenny (Ruth) and Tony (Ellen).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the All Faith Chapel (1092 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N1L1). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Donations in memory of Elmer may be made to a charity of one's choice.
