She was predeceased by: her parents, James Brown and Alice Brown (Anderson); her husband John; and her siblings, Christie MacDonald, John David and Onnie.
She is survived by: her children, Paul (Verna), Sydney Mines, Scott (Freda), Kevin (Crystal), Westmount, Darlene (Larry) and Lisa (Jamie); and her siblings, Veronica Gove of Sydney Mines, Cathy Williams (Eric) of Sydney Mines, Alice King (Billy) of Sydney Mines and James Brown. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the An Cala Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or the Cape Breton SPCA.
