It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Burke (Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Sr. Nichols and Gizella Nichols (Marketch); her daughter Joanne Elizabeth Colford (Burke); and her brother Wesley Jr. "Tootsie" Nichols. She is survived by: her husband Ronald "Ronnie"; her children, Shawna Lawlor (Liam) of Fletcher's Lake, NS and Ron "Bud" (Marsha); her sister Heather Donovan (Albert Bridge); her sister-in-law Judy Nichols (Whitney Pier); and her grandchildren, Evan Tummillo, Kira, Adan Lawlor, Brooke and Madison Burke.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Forest Haven Memorial Gardens (1510 Grand Lake Rd, Sydney, NS B1M1A1).
