It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Duncan MacMillan MacVicar (Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Louisbourg, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward MacVicar and Elizabeth MacVicar (MacPherson); his sisters, Margaret Wells, Georgina Cross, Joyce Trimm and Sheila Greer; and his daughter Isabel.

He is survived by: his wife Christine MacVicar (MacDermid); his children, Elizabeth Anne, Sharon (Richard) and Stanley (Kirsten); his sisters, Annie Tanner and Gloria Knickle; and his grandchildren, David, Matthew, Isabelle, Stephane, Kaj and Braeden.

Donations can be made to the United Protestant Church of Sydney River or the New Campbellton Cemetery, a special place that Duncan volunteered to maintain for many years.
