With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Warren Strickland (Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Trout River, Newfoundland, who passed away on June 21, 2022 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Strickland and Maria Strickland (Barnes); his former wife Ivy Strickland (Cross); and his siblings, Curtis, Stanley, Isabella, Freeman, Eddison and George.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Strickland (Roberts); his children, Terry (Eileen), Wayne, Carol (late David), Patricia and Janet; his nephew Tony; his stepchildren, Helen (Andrew), Barbara, David (Joan), Ted, Garfield (Marilyn), Leslie (Margie), Gwen (Walter) and Samantha (Tom); and his sister Lilla. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
