He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pitcher and Janet Pitcher (Bolt); his parents-in-law, William, Josepha (Locke) and Spencer; and his brother-in-law Jim Bates.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Pitcher (Spencer); his sons, Daniel (Jeanne), David (Jodie) and Kevin (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Kinnon, Ben, Jack, Beau, Teddy and Rosie; his siblings, Harry (Donna), Wayne (Nora), Calvin (Caroline), Yvonne (Harry), Bonnie (Stewart) and Peggy (Bernie); his aunt Winnie; and his uncle Harry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joey may be made to Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton.
