She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Melnick and Myrtle Melnick (Mercer); and her brothers, Joe and Dave Melnick. She is survived by: her daughters, Rachael Adams (John), Coxheath and Alexis Campbell (Terry); her grandchildren, Chris (Julianna) of Meadowvale, NS, Will and Aubrey; her great grandchildren, Willow, Aurora, Quinn and Sage; her sister Carolyn Arsenault (Tom); her sisters-in-law, Ruby Melnick and Elaine Melnick; her cousin Kathy Rodgers Gavel (Steve); and her niece Allison Melnick. She is also survived by one companion; and numerous other family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Cape Breton SPCA in honour of Diane's lifelong love of animals.
