He was predeceased by: his father Charles A. Warner; and his brother Paul J. Warner. He is survived by: his mother Mary Warner (Barrett); his siblings, Dolores Baldwin (Michael) and Charles V. Warner (Cathy); his nieces and nephews, Tina, Mary, Michael Baldwin, Andrew and Lindsay Warner; and his great-nieces, Haley, Kayla, Hannah, Clara and Gloria.
Covid protocols will be practiced at the service.
As per Derek's wish, donations in his memory may be made to the Cancer Patient Care Fund – Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
