He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zahara and Lillian Zahara (Young); and his niece Karen Denise Zahara. He is survived by: his close friend Joanne Sophocleous; his children, Lynn Zahara, Tammy Sophocleous (Craig), Sydney and Glen Sophocleous (Rachel); his brother Stewart Zahara (Barbara); his grandchildren, Kayla (Charlie), Jenna (Steven), Troy, Logan, Anna, Brandon and Hailey; and his nephew Brent Zahara (Michelle). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory of Dennis may be made to the Whitney Pier Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army or charity of one's choice.
