Deborah MacNeil Obituary

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Deborah Ann "Debbie" MacNeil on Sunday February 23, 2025, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Sydney on October 23, 1956, she was the daughter of Pearl (Covey) Aucoin and the late Raymond Aucoin.

Debbie enjoyed karaoke singing and dancing with her friends. Horseback riding, anything related to horses.

Debbie is survived by her husband, George Albert MacNeil; daughter, Amanda (Brad MacDonald) MacNeil, Sydney; sons, Michael, Sydney and Jody (Krystal Iannetti), Sydney Mines; sisters, Raylaine (Billy) Hidgon, Westmount, Rosa (Perry) Antinello, Sydney and Sonya Aucoin, Dutch Brook; and ten grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the SPCA, Renal Dialysis Unit or the Cancer Center at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
