He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thompson and Cora Thompson (MacKinnon) of Sydney, NS.; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Ball); his daughters, Kara and Melissa (Donald MacLean) of Sydney; his sisters, Coral and Evelyn; his sister-in-law Christine; his brothers, James (Judi) of Sydney, George (Heather) of Sydney and Frank (Laura) of Sydney; his uncle Gordon Thompson; his aunts, Mary Jones and Marie Ranni; and his pet Rosie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
