He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Risk and Frances Risk (McGinn); his siblings, Joe, Ricky, Winnie, Patsy Frances and Milley; and his goddaughter Carrie McPhee.

He is survived by: his brother Charlie 'Chaz Risk; his children, Angie (Anthony) and Randy; his grandsons, Kenzie and Aidan; his siblings, Archie, Art (Gayle), Eddie, Elizabeth and Peggy (Glen); and his close friend Colleen Matheson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charles may be made to Loaves and Fishes or other food banks.
