He was predeceased by: his parents, James MacNeil and Eva Mary Delaney (Matheson); and his grandparents, Alex and Mamie Matheson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Whent); his brothers, Terry (Delores), Sydney River and Dave (Cathy); his aunt Audrey Matheson (Sydney); his brother-in-law Thomas Whent (Shirley); and his nieces and nephews, Deanna, Jenna, Jillian, Michael and Graham.
Memorials may be made to the An Cala Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
