He was predeceased by: his father Walter A. Chant; and his brother Moyle Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his children, Kyla, Josiah (Stephanie) and Kandace; his grandchildren, A. J., Abby, Jayden, Charlize, Jaxxon, Sophia, Skyler, Ezekiel Aulden, Chantal and Peyten; his stepchildren, Trinity and Matthew; and his siblings, Roger, Rosette (William Legge) and Kimberley (Vince Penney).
