It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Smith (Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Birch Grove, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Smith and Alma Smith (Robinson). He is survived by: his wife Marion (Weir); his nephew Tom Smith; his nieces, Laura Chappell, Kim Smith, Lorna Johnson, Cathy MacLeod, Mary Volpe, Jane Silver and Peggy Staruch; his cousin Rae MacKillop of Glace Bay; and his friend Raymond Goldman of Glace Bay.
