He was predeceased by: his daughter Arthene McMerty; his parents, Gordon Reiley and Idella Reiley; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth Johnston; and his brother-in-law Peter MacKinnon.
He is survived by: his significant other Theresa (Johnston); his sons, Ewan (Dolores) and Tim (Lisa); his son-in-law Patrick McMerty; his grandchildren, Melissa (Justin), Ashley (Taehyun), Mason (Jenna), Justin (Jenn) and Colton; his great grandchildren, Leona, Landon, Charlotte and Mirae; and his siblings, Cora Jessome (Stanley), Gordena MacLeod (Neil), Darlene Hawley and John (Ann-Marie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
