It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Tremaine Sampson (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Florence, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 11, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Ambrose" and Mary Sampson (Rasmussen); and his siblings, Nanda MacNeil and Colin Sampson. He is survived by: his wife Renova (MacPherson); his daughters, Trudy Trenholm (Robert) of Austin, TX and Tammy Young (Fred) of Eastern Passage, NS; his grandchildren, Samantha Hebert (Karl), Sean Trenholm and Sydney Halepaska (Alex); his great grandchild Evelyn Ambrose Hebert; and his sisters, Iris Sampson, Sylvia Whalen and Sonya MacAskill (Doug).

Funeral service will be Monday, August 17, 2020, at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, Sydney Mines, with a reception to follow at Branch 083 Legion, Florence (numbers may be limited due to Covid-19 restrictions).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County, the Victoria Order of Nurses (VON), or at a charity of your choice.
