He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Nicholson and Mary Ann Nicholson of Sydney Mines; his parents-in-law, John and Johanna MacIntyre; his siblings, Don, Jack, Melrose, Cavell, Shelby, Angus, Richard, William, Christine Allen and Margie MacLean; and his siblings-in-law, Earl MacIntyre, Ken Allen (Christine), Bill Ellis (Florence), Lorne MacLean (Margie), Chrissy Nicholson (Cavell), Alta Nicholson (Gary) and Charlene Nicholson (Richard).

He is survived by: his significant other Ethel of Sydney Mines; his children, Angela Nicholson Do (Loc) and Brent Nicholson (Jen); his siblings, Gary Nicholson, Daniel Nicholson (Theresa), Florence Ellis, Anne Burt (Fred), Sandra McKeigan (Ralph) and Lynn Tate (Lorne); and his siblings-in-law, David MacIntyre (Betty Ann), Judy MacIntyre (Earl), Connie Nicholson (Don), Gloria Nicholson (Jack) and Rose Nicholson (Angus).

Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the White Family Funeral Home (100 Cornwallis St, Kentville, NS B4N 2E4). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Minas Baptist Church (9453 Commercial St, New Minas, NS B4N3G3).
