Shirley MacNeil Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley MacNeil of Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 10, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James MacKinnon and Anita MacKinnon (Jenkins); her sisters, Dorothy (Gerald Jardine), Joan (Ernie Brown) and Ann Corbett; her sister-in-law Joan MacKinnon; her parents-in-law, Frank, Connie, Ruth Burke, Joe, Tom, Cameron, Eddie, Ella, Mary, Bern MacNeil, Harry Cowie and Burt Hanratty; her nephew Jon Corbett; and her niece Judee Young.

She is survived by: her friend Thelma; her spouse Hamilton MacNeil (Hammie); her son Tim (Karen); her grandchildren, Kelley (Nick), Christina (Dimitri) and Tony; her great grandchild Blaise (Trish); her grandchildren, Liam (Cheryl), Erin (Kris), Darrell (Kim), Kara (Colin), Kent and Colton; her siblings, Phyllis (Art Jackman) and Ralph (Helen); and her parents-in-law, Jim Corbett, Isabel MacNeil, Agatha Cowie, Helen Hanratty, Anne Marie MacNeil and Shal Mai MacNeil.
