He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Winstanley and Margaret Winstanley (Vickers); his wife Shirley Winstanley (MacIntosh); his daughter Clara; and his brothers, Eddie (Anita), Jack (Millie), Robert (Margaret), James and Jimmy Thomas (Ann).
He is survived by: his children, David, Denise and Margie (Michael); his grandchildren, Jeff (Julie), Richard (Brittany), Neil (Kayla) and Patrice; his great grandchildren, Payton, Clara, Quincy, Bentley, Eliviah, Eli, Eva, Nyx, Juliana, Isabella and Marley; his sister-in-law Drue Hall (Millie Winstanley); his sisters, Lillian (Doug) and Vera (Gordon); his parents-in-law, Alex and Clara MacIntosh; and his brother-in-law John (Jean).
